Financial Analyst
This Financial Analyst position serves as a pivotal role in extracting insights from diverse data reservoirs to inform strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing commodity trading pricing, diminishing third-party expenditures, enhancing supply chain operational efficiency, mitigating financial risks, and extending our business footprint internationally. This position will foster close collaboration with executive leadership, product management, logistics, operations, finance, and external stakeholders to identify avenues for enhancing and broadening our organizational endeavors.
Essential job duties include:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data pertaining to logistics and supply chain operations post-contract completion. Utilize cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, aiding in informed decision-making.
- Regularly oversee revenue and cost forecasts on a weekly basis and conduct regular monitoring of cash flow to optimize fund utilization efficiency. Implement early collection alerts when sales contracts are potentially exposed to credit risks.
- Collaborate closely with the trading team to devise pricing strategies informed by market trends, demand-supply dynamics, and cost factors. Explore key insights to enhance profit margins and competitiveness in the market and develop customized pricing models.
- Consistently generate departmental performance analyses and reports, delivering meaningful insights to facilitate business improvement and adjustments, thereby ensuring the achievement of the department’s annual goals.
- Cooperate closely with the trading, logistics, and documentary teams to establish and upkeep inventory modules. These modules aim to regulate pricing and capacities between suppliers and buyers, ensuring maximum profits and minimal inventory risks.
- Collaborate closely with global colleagues to access, evaluate, and analyze pertinent datasets and processes. Develop an in-depth understanding of data and processes to the development of an updated and optimized sales contract management system to bolster the expanding container shipment business.
- Evaluate spending quality and other related data, collaborating with the department head and finance team. Together, develop strategies and plans to enhance data quality consistently, promoting a culture of data-driven achievement.
- Dedicated to harnessing emerging technologies and implementing best business practices to address challenges within the international trading industry. Particularly attentive to and passionate about trends in grain commodity trading markets.
- Work closely with banks to craft economic financial solutions that yield impactful outcomes, fostering diverse business relationships and tailored models within a cost-effective framework.
- Create visualized analytics matrices using advanced Microsoft Excel functions or applications like Tableau, tailored for management-level use to enrich strategic decision-making processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job requirements:
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in MBA, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in financial and business analysis or a related field.
- Knowledge of data warehouse and dataset structures.
- Knowledge of Corporate Finance.
- Proficiency in analytical tools, including SQL, SAS, SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence (SAP WEBI), and Tableau.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Pivot analysis, VLOOKUP and VBA, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Access.

- Ability to work both individually and in a team environment.
