Overview

Hang Tung Resources (USA) Limited gladly offers an exciting opportunity of an entry level position for potential candidates who are looking to gain a solid understanding on the global commodity trading market. This position works under Hang Tung’s trading desk for the global soybean book and collaborates with Hang Tung’s Hong Kong headquarter to execute the sales and purchases, manage the logistics for all vessels performing under the contracts, communicate with sellers and buyers around the world for contract details and related execution as well as other duties as assigned.

Primary responsibility: 90%

This position serves as a supportive role of Hang Tung’s trading operation, and the primary responsibility is to collaborate with execution desk and financial department of Hang Tung’s headquarter in order to  flawlessly execute all purchase and sales contracts including but not limited to discuss ing with buyer and seller over contracts, logistics, documentation and other aspects of operations via electronic communications; examine shipping documents against a standard letter of credit; understand and be able to place standard CBOT futures orders accurately.

This position must be willing to travel if needed.

This position will require working overtime on regular basis to match office hours oversea.

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor’s degrees or higher
• Detail oriented even under pressure
• Ability to handle and solve complex problems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese
• Able to work both individually and in a small group environment
• Able to organize multiple duties, prioritize work and multitasking
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
• Willing and able to work overtime

Preferred qualifications

Preference will be given to those who have…

• Understanding of CBOT futures market
• Experience in marketing or customer service
• Experience in commodity logistics, corporate finance or related fields
• Ability to speak, write Spanish/Portuguese/Cantonese

Citizenship Status: No requirement but successful applicants must be able to complete a Form I-9 and provide supporting documentation in accordance with US law.
